Where to Find Cost-Effective Crane Operator Training

You may be ready to embark on a new career path as a crane operator, but there could be one thing that’s holding you back. The cost of training. As with many professions, you will need to attend school to get the skills you need to succeed as a crane operator.

We understand trying to figure out how to pay for crane operator training costs may be stressful. But we have some good news for you. When you sign up for classes with West Coast Training, you have several cost-effective options for your schooling. Here are a few ways to manage crane operator training costs.

Veterans Benefits

If you’re a veteran, you may be able to qualify for financial assistance through VA benefits. For instance, the post-9/11 GI Bill is an education benefit that includes payment of tuition and fees, a housing allowance, and a stipend for books and supplies. You may also be able to receive job training assistance through Veteran Readiness and Employment services.

If you want to crunch the numbers and compare VA-approved institutions, visit this link. It will take you to a comparison tool that will allow you to select your veteran status and the type of benefit you would like to use. In the search bar, you can put in the school name, “West Coast Training,” to see the breakdown of benefits you may be eligible to receive.

Vocational Retraining

The pandemic hit many people hard financially. Maybe you lost your job due to the lockdowns and now you’re looking to pursue a new career path. If so, you may qualify for vocational training services through the Dislocated Worker program, which is part of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

If you were laid off as a result of increased imports, you may be eligible to receive assistance through the Trade Adjustment Act. To find out whether you qualify for either of these programs or if other assistance is available to you, contact your local American Job Center.

Student Tuition Loans

Another option is to apply for a low-interest loan to cover the cost of tuition. For instance, sites like Climb Credit provide financial assistance for job training courses. Just as with the GI Bill comparison tool, you can even do a cost comparison of schools through Climb Credit’s database of verified programs. Under the section that says, “There’s a Course I’m Interested In,” click “Check Quality and Cost.” You can then type in West Coast Training and select your preferred program to get a look at your financing options.

If none of these options seem like quite the right fit for you, reach out to us. A West Coast Training admissions advisor will help you explore all your financial options. We don’t want finances to get in the way of you pursuing a new career opportunity. Instead, we want you to be in control of your future, and we are committed to helping you find a cost-effective way to do that.
