Where Can I Take Crane Operator Classes in Washington
If you are located in Washington state or able to travel to Washington and are interested in training to become a crane operator, it’s a great time to do so. Construction is booming, and there are job opportunities if you have the right training.

If you’d like to get into this industry, you want to make sure that you are looking into the proper training at an accredited professional heavy equipment training center. Since there are many different pieces of heavy equipment you can get trained for, you need to make sure you select one that specializes in crane operator classes.

The good news is that if you are looking to take crane operator classes in Washington State, there’s no need to look any further. At West Coast Training, we offer top-notch crane operator classes. We’re located on the banks of the Columbia River, right outside of Woodland, Washington, about 45 minutes north of Portland International Airport (and the city itself). We are just two hours away from the beaches of the Pacific Ocean to the west, or if you want to venture inland, there’s snow skiing in the Cascades.

Not only will you learn in a prime location, but we also offer both an NCCCO Crane Operator & Rigger training and an NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator training for you to choose from. Thanks to our great location in Washington, we are able to offer hands-on field training in addition to our world-class classroom learning.

NCCCO Crane Operator & Rigger

The NCCCO Crane Operator & Rigger class at West Coast Training is eight weeks long, with approximately 50 percent of the course time spent in the field doing hands-on training.

In the field, students get real experience operating various construction cranes, rigging loads with hook blocks and overhaul balls, and learning how to use the concrete bucket, clam-shell, and drag-line attachments. Besides field training and hands-on learning, students who take this course will receive classroom training on how to safely and properly operate hammerhead, luffing-jib, self-erecting tower cranes, hydraulic boom mobile cranes, and lattice boom mobile cranes.

Upon successful graduation, students will receive nine NCCCO certifications.

NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator

The NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator class is four weeks long. About 50 percent of the training is in the field, where our students will perform mobile crane operations, such as practicing smooth operating techniques, rigging, designed lifts, and signaling. Between classroom studies and field training, students in the Mobile Crane Operator class will learn how to safely and properly operate large and small hydraulic as well as lattice boom truck- and crawler-mounted mobile cranes. Students who graduate from our course will earn six NCCCO mobile crane operator certifications.
